Mission Statement
Section 1.
To promote Kinesiotherapy and improve recognition of the profession
through the pursuit of legislation and public relations. The AKTA will
serve the interests of its members and will work to enhance the standard
of care provided by Kinesiotherapists through educational opportunities.Section 2. The mission of the Association as a non-profit organization shall bye accomplished by:
A. Encouraging the use of medically prescribed
therapeutic activities including exercise techniques and psychology
of medically oriented exercise science.
B. Advancing the professional standards of education and training in the fields of these medically prescribed activities.
C. Developing and sponsoring programs of the highest scientific and professional character in these areas of medically prescribed activities related to development, prevention, habilitation, and rehabilitation through corrective and therapeutic treatment.
D. Encouraging research and publication of scientific articles dealing with advancement of physical and mental rehabilitation.
E. Engage in and encouraging ethical activities related to growth and development of this profession and the Association.
