2008 AKTA National Conference Recap
The American Kinesiotherapy Association is very excited to report a successful co-location with the Medical Fitness Association (MFA). The 2008 AKTA National Conference was held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas, December 3- 6, 2008. The AKTA was grateful for the opportunity to network with the many health and fitness professionals who actively support the MFA. Many thanks to all of the AKTA sponsored speakers and volunteers. From the educational component to the inspirational keynote speakers to testing the latest fitness equipment to networking with KT's and other medical fitness professionals, the conference was a huge success. The conference focused on exercise programming and performance enhancement for every person including those with chronic disease. Over 200 topics were presented, some days it was a challenge to attend all the ones that interested you. If you were not able to attend, you missed an exceptional educational and social opportunity.
