DIDACTIC CURRICULUM

Schools having Kinesiotherapy programs that are accredited by CAAHEP will provide a common core course offering, but may have minor variations due to specific graduation requirements of the institution.  The bachelor’s degree may be from a department entitled exercise science, kinesiology, human performance, or other designation as determined by the institution, but must have the minimum coursework required by the CoA-KT:

o        Human Anatomy

o        Human Physiology

o        Exercise Physiology

o        General Psychology

o        Kinesiology or Biomechanics

o        Statistics or Research Methods

o        Motor Learning or Growth and Development

o        First Aid

o        Therapeutic Exercise

o        Organization and Administration of Kinesiotherapy

o        Introduction to Kinesiotherapy

o        Theory and Practice of Kinesiotherapy
